Registered Virginia business
Scoop Cop LLC operates out of Fairfax, Virginia. We're a real local entity with a real address and a phone number a person answers — not a lead-broker app routing your yard to a stranger.
General liability coverage
We carry general liability insurance covering property damage and injury while we're on your property. Certificates are issued on request, and HOAs or management companies can be named as additional insured.
Background-checked technicians
Everyone who enters a customer's gate is background-checked before their first solo route and works in marked uniform with a photo-proof-logged visit record.
Sanitized equipment between yards
Tools are disinfected at every stop. It's the single most important thing a scooping service does, and it's the thing most one-person operations skip.
Documented off-site disposal
Waste leaves in sealed containers and is disposed of through licensed waste channels. Nothing goes into your bin unless you specifically ask us to leave it there.
Written service terms
Flat pricing, month-to-month, cancel by text. Nothing about our terms requires a lawyer to read.
Compliance questions
Is Scoop Cop licensed and insured?
Yes. Scoop Cop LLC is registered in Virginia and carries general liability insurance. A certificate of insurance is available on request, and we can name an HOA or management company as an additional insured where a contract requires it.
Can you provide a COI for our HOA or property?
Yes — email hello@scoopcop.com with the entity name and any required wording and we'll have the certificate issued. Most requests turn around in one to two business days.
How do you prevent spreading illness between yards?
Every scoop, rake, and pan is disinfected between properties, boots get a sanitizing step, and waste is transported in sealed containers. If a yard has a known parvo or giardia case, tell us and we service it last on the route with dedicated tools.
Your first clean is on us.
No card on file. No contract. If you don't love the first visit, you don't pay a cent — really.
