A spring cleanup clears the full winter backlog of dog waste from your yard in a single visit. In Northern Virginia the right window is after the last hard freeze and before your first mow — usually late February to early April. Most one-time spring cleanups run $89–$149, and the first clean is free if you continue with weekly or bi-weekly service.

March and April are the heaviest weeks of our year. Snowmelt exposes everything the last three months buried, spring rain washes bacteria toward storm drains, and fescue puts on enough growth to hide what's left. A single catch-up clean followed by weekly service resets the yard before the first cookout.

What a spring visit actually includes
We walk the yard in overlapping passes rather than eyeballing it — fence lines, bed edges, under decks and stairs, the shady strip along the north side of the house where nothing dried out all winter. Everything is bagged as we go, loaded into the truck, and hauled off-site.
Gates get double-checked and photographed before we leave, and you get a text with photo proof of the finished yard. If you'd rather we never open a specific gate or you have a dog that shouldn't be out during the visit, tell us once and it stays on your account.
Heavier yards sometimes need a second pass a week later once the turf dries and thins out. If yours does, we'll tell you up front instead of surprising you with a line item.

When should I book a spring cleanup in Northern Virginia?
Book between the last hard freeze and your first mow — typically late February through early April here. Mowing before the yard is cleared shreds and spreads whatever the snow left behind, which is far worse than the original pile.

Can you clean a yard that hasn't been touched all winter?
Yes. That's the majority of what we do in March. We work the yard in a grid, get under leaf mats and deck edges, bag everything, and haul it off-site — nothing goes in your bin unless you ask.
